As you step into the dimly lit room you're hit by a wall of coldness, the room is practically freezing when compared with the warm climate outside the guild hall! After getting over the initial temperature shock you look around, seeing shelf upon shelf filled with books and scrolls, barely visible in the dim light, but no one else seems to be around.

Trying to find your way you take a few steps forward but stop as unlit candles suddenly flare up with a hiss, burning with an eerie color and as you move closer it actually feels like the flames on the candles are cold, not warm.

Being mesmerized by this strange phenomena you jump in surprise when you suddenly hear a voice a slight distance away. "Can I help you?"

The Forsaken librarian seems oddly pleased at your request for the history of the guild as he drags out a few books from a shelf and places them on the table.

"The history of the guild eh? Now that is a tale that is quite long and stretches across many a year.. The guild itself was founded by an Orc warrior named Inny, a bit of a brash character if I may say so myself but a good enough leader nonetheless. Originally it was just a group of friends but as time went on the guild grew with friends bringing in friends and from reputation and eventually we spread out around Azeroth, eventually becoming a large and experienced enough guild to form raiding parties to do battle against any threat in most places in the world.

While you read through the books presented to you, you glance up at the librarian who seems to be busy with writing some text on a parchment… After a while he turns and waits for you to put down the book before presenting you with the freshly written parchment.

“You might want this, it`s the general layout of the way we set up the battle groups for the raids we perform… it might be useful to have.”

 ”Now I know that not everyone has an interest in the good old dragon, monster or general evil-doer slaying, nor for the practice of various crafts or professions…” The librarian starts writing on a parchment while he speaks, constantly keeping his gaze fixed on you as if he is evaluating you. 

“Naturally, this guild isn`t all about slaying dragons and picking flowers! Considering the current tensions and clashes between the Horde and the Alliance, most guilds are somehow involved in the conflict and we are no exception. We also have quite a few gladiators in the guild as well, if you have a fancy for such things.” The librarian pauses a second as he looks you up and down, as if he was examining your potential, before continuing.

While looking over the table filled with books and parchments you suddenly notice that the Forsaken librarian seems to be staring at you while writing something in a piece of parchment. “You`re free to take any parchment that I`ve provided with you when you leave, but please leave the books as they are, they`ll find their own way back...”

The librarian smirks as he turns around to go back to his work before pausing for a moment. “If you decide that you want to join the guild, I would suggest that you go to the main guild hall and speak with Inny first, a good introduction is key in making both alliances and friendships you know. Inny is usually there with other aspirants and guild members.” As you walk towards the exit while the candles flicker down and disappear you can`t help but wonder how you`ll be able to recognize Inny from everyone else but just as you open the door to leave you hear a low voice followed by a short laugh coming from somewhere in the library. “Don`t worry, you`ll know when you see him...”
